Nadine Coyle – Fields Of Gold
Nadine Coyle is arguably one of the most distinctive voices of Girls Aloud.
At the age of 16 she won a place in the Irish Popstars band Six, when the producers found out she was not 18 she was asked to leave the group.
Before hitting the big time, Nadine recorded a demo CD which was distributed to Louis Walsh and The Late Late Show. This included her outstanding version of Fields Of Gold, as well as Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Love Is and Summertime. The demo CD is very rare as only a few copies were made (Nadine gave most to her friends and family).

Project G – Feat. Sarah Harding
Before finding fame as part of Girls Aloud, Sarah Hardman recorded some demo tracks with Project G.
The tracks I Don’t Wanna Be Alone & Higher Than The Sun , unfortunately came to nothing. They remained unreleased and Sarah continued to work as Barmaid & Waitress in Manchester.
In 2002, Sarah joined the talent search as part of Popstars:The Rivals – another risk when you consider the fate of the previous popstars band hear’say.
After changing her surname to Harding for legal reasons, Sarah found herself in the line up of the newly created Girls Aloud.
And the rest -as they say – is history.

Shut your mouth ‘cos your shit might show
Winners of the second series of the UK Popstars franchise, Kymberly Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Cheryl Tweedy & Nicola Roberts have successfully managed to brush off the reality TV tag.
Formed in 2002, Girls Aloud went straight to the top of the charts with their debut single Sound Of The Underground.
The follow up single No Good Advice was an angst ridden teen rebellion anthem. The girls dressed themselves in what appeared to be bacofoil and told listeners to “shut your mouth because it might show”
What might show, one asks? As the girls went around promoting the ‘clean’ version of the track in the hope that the unedited version would appear on the album – no such luck.
FACT: Nadine Coyle is the only person in the world to have won 2 series of popstars! She originally made it into the Irish popstars group – Six – but was asked to leave when producers found out she was only 15.
